Dwayne Bowe - Football
In college at Louisiana State, Dwayne ranked among the top wide receivers in the nation over his lustrous career. In the 50 games he played, 30 of which he started, Dwayne cumulated 154 receptions for over 2,400 yards and a record breaking 26 touchdowns. Along with JaMarcus Russell, Bowe set school records for most touchdowns by a receiver and quarterback. Because of his outstanding career, Bowe was selected 23rd overall in the 2007 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs.
In his first two seasons as a Kansas City Chief, Bowe caught 156 balls and over 2000 yards, which made him the most productive receiver in Chiefs history in their first two years in the NFL. His 86 catches in 2008 were the most receptions by a Chiefs receiver ever, and since 2007 no player drafted the same year has caught more balls than Bowe.
Off the field, Bowe has done many charitable functions, but his main focus was on founding the “Un-Bowe-lievable Foundation.” The foundation was designed to help kids being raised by their grandparents and also works closely with the Family Friends Grandparents and Relative Caregivers program.
