Tim Legler - Emcee/Basketball

Legler is a former NBA standout and is currently an analyst for ESPN.  After finishing his 1,699 point collegiate basketball career at La Salle University, in 1988 he moved on to a basketball career that placed him across seas in Europe and then eventually back home to the United States in the CBA, where he played for the Omaha Racers.

After rising through the ranks in the CBA, Legler reached the NBA where he would finish his basketball career.  Over his lustrous career in the NBA he played for 5 teams which included Phoenix Suns, Utah Jazz, Golden State Warriors, Dallas Mavericks, and the Washington Wizards.  Washington is where Legler made the biggest splash in his career.  In 1996, his first season with the Wizards, the sharp shooting guard found himself among the best players in the NBA at the All-Star Weekend, where he won the 3-point shooting contest, beating the likes of players such as Hubert Davis and Steve Kerr.

After ending his career in the NBA as one of the top 3-point shooters ever to play Legler caught on with ESPN and ESPN EWS where he remains today.  He joined the ESPN team in 2000 bringing his great basketball knowledge to shows such as the pregame show NBA Shootaround, NBA Coast to Coast, and NBA Fastbreak.  Along with his growing role at ESPN Legler is also doing select telecast for NBA games on television and radio.
